French 18th century castle which sleeps 16 guests in 8 bedrooms, all with super king beds. The chateau dates from 1732. Having first belonged to a supposed mistress of King Louis XIV, whose daughter Sophie was a close friend of the french writer and philosopher Denis Diderot, prominent figure during the Enlightenment, who stayed twice at the chateau, it becomes much later the property of designer Karl Lagerfeld. The property extends over several hectares of park and forest. The access to the chateau is done by a stone bridge, passing the moats which surround the chateau. The pool area has been created near the old farm of the castle and its dovecote. The property is located in the Champagne region, 10 minutes from a large lake. The nearest champagne producers are about 30 kilometers away.
