7 Bedroom, 6 Bath, Sleeps 14 guests. Eikehof Farm is a small boutique guest farm nestled at the foot of the Olifantsberg Mountain in the famous Breede River Valley. Eikehof offers luxury farm accommodation and guests will have exclusive access to the entire farm during their stay. The Manor House at Eikehof is truly magnificent and consists of an imposing entrance hall, an enormous eat in kitchen with an open fireplace, a dining room and a generous lounge as well as 3 large en suite bedrooms, all with king beds. The Cape Dutch style of the house was kept and a luxurious element was added. Crisp white cotton sheets, antique brass chandeliers, velvet throws, soft plush blankets, scented candles, thick bath towels and exclusive, locally made organic body wash and lotion and Persian carpets give the bedrooms and bathrooms a 5 star feel. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare gourmet meals, from quality cutlery and an assortment of beautiful antique and vintage blue and white crockery to crystal glasses as well as Le Creuset pots and pans. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine and frother. The long scrubbed table can easily seat 12 people and hours can be spent here in front of the open hearth. The Oude School Huisje cottage adjacent to the Manor House, has been converted into a luxurious 2 bedroom cottage with a kitchen and full bathroom. It has a patio leading onto its own private garden. Inside there are 2 bedrooms each with a fireplace, king sized bed and a lounge area. De Kippe Huisje is a single bedroom cottage with a kitchenette and bathroom. It has been stylishly decorated and is about 30 meters from the Manor House, near the chicken coop. Guests can collect fresh eggs each day for a farm to table experience. Inside there is a king sized bed, lounge area and a small garden and patio. The third cottage also has 1 bedroom with a kitchen and bathroom with a shower. It has a hot tub and a BBQ. There are 130 hectares on the farm for guests to explore. Eikehof extends up the Olifantsberg Mountain and has a beautiful kloof, should guests feel like a scenic hike to see all the endemic fynbos that flourish in the area. There is a farm dam a short distance away, above the house. It is amazing to swim in the dams crystal clear mountain water. There is a round dam that has been converted into a pool with a deck at the house overlooking the vineyard and olive grove. There are lots of lovely spots for a tranquil picnic in our forest where a small stream runs through. There are picnic baskets available in the house for guests to fill with a selection of gourmet ingredients. The Worcester Mountain Mill Mall is 10 km from Eikehof and has a large selection of shops, including a Woolworths and a PicknPay. No pets. Read less
