Our house - cottage is a fully refurbished house in a small borgo situated above antient Portonovo bay by the Adriatic sea. Portonovo has long history of pirate bay, having a source of fresh water. It was a place where many stopped to get fresh water on the ships and where many battles took place. From pirates to Napoleonic fleet. The small borgo of Poggio is located in the National Park of Conero with Mount Conero located right next to the village. The view from the terrace of the house is breath taking. On a clear day Croatian Coast is visible. The blue waters og the sea and white small stones on the beach create a Carribean -like feel to its amazingsmall beaches. The beaches are also well knows for amazing restuarants. 

Our cottage is a island of peace and serenity. The village is very small and very quite. It has 2 tavernas but no shops. 

The area is well known for walking and mountain biking, a beautiful Conero Golg Course is also near by. Paragliding is very popular as well. The area is extremely interesting for all food lovers as it boosts amazing local cuisine - is it fish or meat based dishes. Marche region is also well known for pulses and special salames. Vegetarian and vegans will have no problem enjoying their stay. 

The house is fully furnished, with fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, washer, dryer and internet access. It has upstairs landing snug for reading as the afternoon light makes a place very relaxing.The house is pleasant for 2 couples, more than 4 people when terrace is not in use can make the house a bit small. 

Home cook and every-day cleaning can be arranged. 

While in summer the area is great for beach activities, autumn and spring are perfect for not so hot holidays often it is easy to swim in the sea. as soon as May and as late as October. Winter has a charm of cosy indoor stays with sea view and visits to local history hotspots and trattorias.
