There is no elevator in the building, but the apartment is so worth the climb. There is a fireplace, wood floors, and the loft bedroom is up a circular staircase. The television has French stations only (no cable). A 7 minute walk will take you to the canal and there are plenty of great restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. The following metro stops are nearby: Chateau d'Eau, Strasbourg-Saint Denis, and Republique. It is just across the street from the 10th's Town Hall (Hotel de Ville), not far from the Gare de l'Est or Gare du Nord and about ten minute walk north of Centre Pompidou. EuroDisney and Versailles, both about 30 minutes away, are good for good day trips. Flat sleeps two adults comfortably, plus two sofas in salon can be used for children. A supplement of ten euros/night is required for more than two occupants.
