A green oasis within the city of Washington, D.C and only about a mile from Rock Creek Park while within walking distance of the Metro and major bus routes. Although you will be visiting Washington in this Upper Northwest house, you will at once feel as though you have come home (and will so hate to leave). The kitchen is designed for people who like to cook, with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. A counter provides a quick bite if the family does not want to sit in the formal dining room. Off of the dining room and kitchen is a sitting room, filled with light. A deck provides a sense of being outside of the city. In fact, this part of Washington is in the city, but is an area of trees and grass. The living room has a fireplace and is also full of light. The third floor, the study, has skylights and is a very special place to be - it serves as "thinking space," or running space as a treadmill is available. There are 3 bedrooms on the middle floor with a sitting room (again light and airy). If desired, a TV can be set up in this room (the TV is on the 3rd floor). Read less
