Less than a 10 minute ride from the town house you will find the Montana State University campus. Active families will love a visit to the Musueum of the Rockies, which has the only Digistar planetarium in the Northern Rockies and a cutting edge dinosaur exhibit! Since 1983, Safari Yellowstone has delighted visitors with safaris through some of the world's most spectacular and unique areas. The safaris provide a unique way to learn about the region's natural and cultural history. You can also fly fish on the great Yellowstone River, hike in the Gallatin National Forest, or take a short day trip to the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness. It's only a 16 mile drive to Bridger Bowl ski area, one of Montana's best ski slopes. Although not as steep as Teton Village in Jackson Hole, Bridger Bowl is plenty steep for most of us, and a great hill for good skiers, with a lot of expert terrain. The ski area has quite a bit of terrain appropriate for beginners and intermediate skiers alike.
